The Light-Filled Family Home — Extension & Full Refurbishment

A carefully considered transformation of a three-bedroom home in Weybridge, this project reimagines the property through a contemporary rear extension and a full internal refurbishment. Working closely with the client's vision, the house was stripped back and rebuilt with a focus on light, flow and enduring materials — introducing new electrics, plumbing and discreet modern comforts throughout.

At the heart of the home, the rear extension forms a striking double-height living space, framed in warm timber cladding and expansive glazing. Full-height sliding doors dissolve the boundary between inside and out, opening onto a landscaped garden and creating a seamless connection to the outdoors. The architectural form brings both presence and softness, balancing modern lines with natural textures.

Internally, a bespoke kitchen and dining area sits beneath the vaulted space, designed for both everyday living and entertaining. Clean detailing, considered joinery and a restrained palette allow the architecture to take precedence, while carefully placed lighting adds warmth and depth into the evening.

Upstairs, the bedrooms are calm and well-proportioned, with the principal suite offering a quiet retreat, complete with refined finishes and a sense of understated luxury. Throughout, the project reflects a measured approach — blending contemporary design with the comfort and character of a family home.

The Farmhouse Brick Extension — Crittall-Glazed Rear

A carefully executed rear extension that blends traditional materials with contemporary detailing, this project centres around the use of reclaimed farmhouse brickwork to create a sense of history and permanence. The richly textured brick façade brings warmth and character, grounding the extension within its setting while offering a subtle contrast to the crisp, modern interventions.

Full-height Crittall-style doors span the rear elevation, introducing a strong architectural rhythm while allowing light to flood deep into the interior. The slim black frames provide a clean, industrial edge, opening up the space and creating a seamless connection between the house and garden. When opened, the doors dissolve the boundary entirely, transforming the extension into an indoor-outdoor living space.

Internally, the refurbishment has been approached with restraint — clean lines, natural materials and considered detailing allowing the brickwork and glazing to take centre stage. The result is a balanced composition of old and new, where the robustness of farmhouse materials meets the refinement of modern living.

The Shaker Kitchen — Hand-Painted Bespoke Cabinetry

A beautifully executed bespoke Shaker-style kitchen, designed with a focus on timeless craftsmanship and understated elegance. Hand-painted cabinetry in a soft neutral palette creates a calm and cohesive backdrop, complemented by classic framed doors and subtle brass ironmongery that adds warmth and refinement.

At the centre of the space, a generous island forms both a practical workspace and a social focal point, topped with a striking quartz work surface featuring delicate veining. The island's darker base introduces contrast and depth, grounding the room while providing informal seating for everyday living and entertaining.

A traditional range cooker is framed by a bespoke mantel, with a marble-effect splashback adding a touch of quiet luxury. Integrated appliances are seamlessly concealed within the cabinetry, maintaining clean lines and a clutter-free aesthetic. Overhead, statement pendant lighting introduces a soft ambient glow, enhancing the kitchen's welcoming atmosphere.

Set against a herringbone timber floor, the overall composition balances classic detailing with contemporary functionality — resulting in a kitchen that feels both enduring and effortlessly modern.

The Victorian Restoration — Brickwork & Bespoke Timber Windows

A sensitive refurbishment of a characterful Richmond home, this project focused on restoring the property's original charm while enhancing its performance and longevity. Careful attention was given to the external envelope, where tired and weathered elements were brought back to life through a full brickwork restoration, reviving the richness and texture of the façade.

Central to the transformation was the installation of new bespoke timber HSW windows throughout, faithfully echoing the proportions and detailing of the originals while delivering modern thermal efficiency and durability. The crisp white frames sit comfortably within the restored elevations, sharpening the building's architectural identity and reinforcing its period character.

Externally, the combination of refreshed brickwork, clean render and reinstated detailing has elevated the overall appearance — creating a home that feels both renewed and authentic. The result is a considered refurbishment that respects the building's heritage while quietly introducing the quality and performance expected of contemporary living.
